We walked back from where we began and went straight a couple more blocks, my best friend is just so certain that I would like what he had in mind and he did not disappoint!
Brad and Pit’s Ribshack! I actually came across a lot of good reviews about the place when I browsed over the web.
In the simple choice between to go or not go, for Brad and Pit’s Ribshack, I must definitely say: GO!
It is a small hangout place, which gives you the retro feels. You have there some lanterns, bottles on shelves, the set-up and chalk writing on the walls (some of which are actually inspiring).
I cannot claim that it has the same taste and melt-in-your-mouth quality as the ribs of Racks, but the meat is as tender as it should be – wonderful reddish in color, juicy and not burnt at all. Everything smelled really good. The sauce was great (this tastes like those used in Racks), and generously spreaded on the ribs.
We both ordered the “original combo” for Php 149.00 each. The ribs come with one cup of rice and small serving of corn and carrots on the side. However, it does not come with drinks, so this can be listed for improvement.
Also, you can easily distinguish which serving is spicy and which is the original (spicy = served on red plates, original = served on white plates).
Just to give you a glimpse of other foods that they have on the menu, they also have wings, fish and chips, sandwiches and pastas, and desserts. They also have this “Rib Mountain”, which comes in different sizes of serving: S, M, L and XL.
They have a small menu, which is a good sign, since you immediately know that they have a mastery of their featured food. Also, I am not a big fan of big menu, where you just get all confused and overwhelmed with the numerous choices.
Generous and delicious serving for a reasonable price, this winning deal is the reason why we would definitely go back to this rib shack.

How to go to Lilac St.:
From Cubao, we rode an SSS Village FX (you may also opt to ride a jeepney with the same signage). Just simply ask the driver to drop you off at Lilac St., and there you go!
Well, this will certainly be the first of our many food adventures in Lilac. Any suggestions of where we should go next?
